Weston Milliamp Meter 30 April 2017
This is a nice one day project - no, a 1-1/2 hour project. I found this old Weston model 1 meter, but it came without the knobs for the binding posts, so I scrounged up some scrap 9/16" hex brass rod and got to work on the lathe. This is a very theraputic project; none of the dimensions are critical, and if it looks good, it is good. I think they look great. Next I will locate some liver of sulfur solution I have somewhere in the basement workshop and patina them so they look period. Albeit a bit fancy... I always make a spare in case I make a mistake, so I have one extra - only five are required for the meter. Does someone need one 9/16" knob with 10-32 threads?
